The Somerville Reunion was held as per schedule on Sunday, August 7, 1949 at the City Park in Parkersburg - W.Va.
An unusual large attendance favored the gathering and around noon the various families & friend enjoyed a delicious picnic dinner.
President of the Reunion - M.G. (Burnie) Burnside presided over the meeting. Eugene Somerville - elected vice president. Walter T. Grafton, Jr. - elected Secretary Treasurer.
A voluntary collection taken for the purpose of taking care of expenses of the Reunion netted $24.01.
Entertainment was provided by the Lockhart fiddlers group, who were proficient in their art and they were ably assisted by James Sheppard and other dancers in our native clog dancing.

Honorable M.G. (Burnie) Burnside of Huntington Wva. Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from the 4th Crongressional District.
And Rev. Elzy Bauman.
